The Right Person to Help You Tell Your Story

With the advent of digital technology, the way we tell stories has changed - but the elements that make a good story have not. Michael Lees is a digital storyteller based in Dominica whose work aims to inspire, challenge, and push audiences towards realizing their part in the greater story we are all living. Whether it’s through documentary, branded content, or music, there’s always a story to be told.

Michael got his start as a PA on music video shoots in the UK for bands like Glass Animals and Franz Ferdinand, later working as an office PA for nationally syndicated American shows “19 Kids and Counting” and “Sister Wives”. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Michael moved to New York City where he shot and edited content for music industry titan, Billboard, and later working as a tech at a camera rental house where he learned the ins and outs of industry-leading camera equipment. During this time Michael was consistently involved in documentary storytelling, tackling poignant topics such as death-acceptance, and sustainable development.

Upon his return home to Dominica in 2016, Michael embarked on his first feature length documentary, “UNCIVILIZED”, which saw him survive Category 5 Hurricane Maria in a palm leaf hut in the forest, (for more on UNCIVILIZED visit, and later working with local and international brands such as UNICEF and Astaphans in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
