The Right Person to Help You Tell Your Story
With the advent of digital technology, the way we tell stories has changed - but the elements of a good story have not.
My name is Michael Lees and I’m a digital storyteller based in Dominica. Through my work I aim to inspire, challenge, and push audiences towards realizing their part in the greater story we are all a part of. Whether it’s through documentary, branded content, music videos or photography, there’s always a story to be told.
“ I want to help you tell your story”
I don’t want to tell your story; I want to help you tell your story, so you can reach the audience that you are after. Creating content that is emotionally resonant and connects with viewers is paramount. With a proven track record, I have produced videos for international clients such as UNICEF Eastern Caribbean (with upwards of 10,000 views), and edited content for Billboard with upwards of 20,000 views (on Youtube alone).
Whether it’s creating video content for your small business, documenting an event or capturing a special moment, you’re in good hands. For more information on how we can create something together, don’t hesitate to contact me for rates and further info.

More About Me
I’m a film maker and photographer based in Dominica in the Eastern Caribbean. My aim is to serve clients locally and within the Eastern Caribbean region with with the attention that every project deserve. I’ve worked with (and for) a handful of well established clients locally and abroad.
I got my start as a Production Assistant on music video shoots in London for bands like Glass Animals and Franz Ferdinand, later working as an office PA for nationally syndicated American shows, “19 Kids and Counting” and “Sister Wives”. After graduating with a BA in Communications studies and Minors in Business and PPE from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I moved to New York City where I shot and edited content for music industry mainstay, Billboard - and later worked at a camera rental house to learn the ins and outs of industry-leading camera equipment. Upon my return home to Dominica in 2016, I embarked on my first feature length documentary, “UNCIVILIZED”, which saw me survive Category 5 Hurricane Maria in a palm leaf hut in the forest, (for more on UNCIVILIZED visit https://www.facebook.com/uncivilizedfilm). The film is currently in the final stages of post-production!
